Dear god, every time I see someone say "I WANT A WULF AS A PEYUT" I want to punch them in the goddamn mouth. Wolves are WILD FUCKING ANIMALS, they're not cute little puppy dogs. They're called WILD for a reason. They're programmed to howl, run around and kill things, not to roll over and play fetch. Sure, they can be "trained" in captivity, but "trained" does not mean "domesticated". Did you know that HUNDREDS OF WOLVES ARE EUTHANIZED EVERY SINGLE YEAR because people bought them as a pup thinking they were getting an awesome pet then realized they couldn't handle them when they grew up? NO, you're NOT going to be that one special heart warming family movie case where the animal bonds to you and turns into a cute cuddly tame little creature for you to run and play in the woods with (want proof? [link] ). They're going to grow up into a WILD FUCKING ANIMAL and the WILD is where they belong, so keep them there. Really, this applies to all wild animals. The same thing happens all the time with primates, big cats, alligators and crocodiles: people thinking they can raise a wild animal into a pet, realizing they had no idea what the shit they were doing, and killing the animal if it doesn't kill them first. And really, to me it's the saddest fucking thing ever that an animal that is just doing what it does naturally has to be killed because some human dipshit thought they were going to be Doctor fucking Doolittle.
And yes, I DO fucking swear a lot when I'm pissed off about something.
The tamaskan dog, is at the moment the only breed bred to look like a wolf without crossing them with an actual wolf. It's about as close as you can get with out using wolfs, since domestication will result in certain changes in appearance, namely they become more puppy like even as adults. [link] Other truly wolf looking breeds were made by crossing in wolf and then with a few generation re-domesticating them. And is it was already explained the sled pulling breeds don't actually look like wolf any more then your average spitz would.
