They are NOT so appealing that everybody loves them.

They are NOT the greatest assassin in the world.

They are NOT a better fighter than anyone else.

They are NOT famous/infamous.

Their weird, unrealistically powerful abilities are NOT cool.

Nobody CARES that they have a demon trapped inside of them

Or that they are a god

Or that they are a hybrid of ten different species

Or that they can summon spirits with the flick of a wrist

Or that they wield a giant ten-foot sword

Or that they had a horrifically depressing past.

YOU CHARACTER IS NOT IMPRESSIVE OR INTERESTING. :| LEARN SOME CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT SKILLS. GET OVER IT.

hmm... well I myself don't like sues at all, and put in as much effort as possible in stopping mine being sues. And don't get me wrong- you're entitled to express your opinion. i just don't think this is very constructive. I think writing more of a 'guide for things to watch out for when creating a character' would have been more effective in reducing the amount of sues on DA- this way they'll feel less attacked and won't react with 'OMG!!!1! Ur juzc jealus!''one!' If I make sense?, but instead will think 'oh.... maybe I need to rethink my character. Hope I'm making sense.

To develop her character, I roleplay her out with LITERATURE, so it took me a few years to develop her...

Hrrrgh I hate it when people babble on and on about their OCs like they're the coolest things ever. I love my characters, I really do, but I don't think they're stunningly great.

A lot of people don't seem to realize that you can take cliched character traits and make a less-cliched character out of them. One of my OCs was beaten as a kid (alcoholic parents and everything!!) and is possessed by a demon, but she's not angsty (just shy) and the demon possessing her isn't even evil; it just wanted a body it could see the human world through.
