Whenever I pick up a magazine at the dentist's office or something and it's packed with articles of who was wearing what when, I just want to grab the editor by the collar and pound their face into their desk until there's nothing left.

WHO. EFFING. CARES.

What they're wearing doesn't tell me about their acting prowess. It doesn't tell me what inspires their music or what they think is important. THEY'RE. CLOTHES.

And of course most often it's the FEMALE celebrities who get this treatment, even female politicians. Cause, you know, who CARES about her stances on Healthcare or other important issues if she's not rockin' Jimmy Chus? Cause women are only as good as their clothes. Which is why they should all be in mini dresses and aprons so they can make me a sandwich AND ride my dick at the same time. Because women are cooks, maids, and things for men to stick their dicks in. OH and they're property.

I don't really mind them telling about what random celebrities wear at parties and such (though I do see your point that it is a little bit sexist when they tend to only talk about what the women WEAR), but is it interesting at all? Not really. I can't really say I care even the slightest about a bunch of rich and spoiled people I don't know, not about what they wear, and not about their uninteresting lovelives and scandals. So what if they played in some movies? Their personal lives are still really uninteresting.

.... How fitting that I come across this while in FEETY PAJAMAS. 8D
In public too.
Well.
A BnB. But still.

... They're comfy at least.~ By the logic of the editors, I'm a cuddly frog thing, I guess.

But I don't want to be that! I want to be better that you! D:
Oh and I totally agree. Whenever I see things like that I just flip right past them to look for something more interesting. Arg.

I'll wear my Target jeans and generic white tanktop and be happy with it, damnit.

It's really sad. I mean, I like dressing to the gills sometimes, but then be appreciated for who I am as a person. These female celebrities who are always getting slammed for their clothes... It's pitiful. The double standard for men and women needs to stop, and the first place it should is within our celebrity culture.

Agreed. Celebrity "news" in general just makes me want to bang my head against the wall. Seriously, if it was anyone else who did it, NO ONE WOULD CARE.

I'd be railed constantly for my clothes if I was a celebrity, I swear. I'd still be wearing the $10 jeans, $20 running shoes, and $5 t-shirts that I'm wearing now :giggle: (which, on another note, look almost exactly the same as the expensive brands)
