How special could marriage be if the government needs to regulate it. Marriage is nothing more than an official USA seal of approval saying you love each other.

I'm kinda at both sides on this subject...yes i think gays/lesbians should have the right to be married and be recognized by the government that they are married but - I do not think a Religion has to be forced by the government to marry them. They have every right to deny marrying them in their Church if it's against their beliefs. None the less though, the government should recognize their marriage as being valid.

As my college professor said, marriage is just the public giving a couple permission to have sex. :/
So civil unions for all!

Honestly, if two people are in love, who gave anyone the right to say whether they can get 'married' or not. :|
