I personally love Canon X OC pairings as much as I love Canon X Canon (including crack). Why? Because some people do it only for fun. It's a shame people crosses the line, at worst more than twice. *coughAomecough*
And sometimes If I see a female OC is in love with the canon, I think the female OC says "I very love him and he is mine you can not take him from me because he loves me too and we are in love and one day we will have a family with a cute baby wearing a bow" LOLz

He is official, with the proof to back him up from the story, and author, and such.
Lets say I make a fan-character for Chronicles of Narnia.
Her name is Ira, and she is the cousin of Aslan.
You see, Ira will not be cannon since she technically does not exist in the actual story.
